Abstract

Various Vanadium(IV)-chelates have been studied in their tendency to hydrolyse and the potentiometrically determined pK-values are discussed. The structure of a partially hydrolysed complex with picolinic acid is thoroughly investigated. Spectrophotometric evidence leads to the conclusion that OH- is in trans-position to the VO-group.
