Abstract

Phenyltrithiometaphosphate, [C6H5SPS2]2, is dimeric and contains a four-membered ring of two sulfur and two phosphorus atoms. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with the cell parameters: a= 11,48 Å, b = 11,74 Å, c = 6,45 Å, β = 102,3 °, cell volume 849,6 Å3. There are two molecules of dimer in the unit cell. The dimer has a center of symmetry and possesses therefore trans-configuration.
