Das System Übergangsmetall-Kolloid/organisches Halogenid als Initiator der Radikalpolymerisation

Abstract

Me⁰ colloids as described in the preceeding communication dissolve in certain organic halides, e.g. CCl₄. The process involves a radical intermediate which may be demonstrated by kinetic considerations and copolymerization runs. The polymerization rates obtained with these systems are comparable to those obtained by Bamford using metal carbonyls and CCl₄.
