Bestimmung einiger Spurenelemente in Wasser durch Aktivierungsanalyse

Abstract

The methods used in neutron activation analysis of the trace elements Ba, Ni, Cu, U, Rb, and Cs in water are described. The sample is taken to dryness, the residue irradiated together with appropriate standards, and the activities isolated using the carrier-technique. Reproducibility is between 2 and 6 % (except for Ni), and sensitivity is high enough to get good results from samples of a most at few hundred milliliters. Results for several water samples are presented.
