Synthesen von Tetracenchinonen

Abstract

This paper deals with a new three step synthesis of substituted Naphthacenequinones, starting from 1,4-Dihydroxy-anthraquinones. The 1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinones are transformed into the corresponding Chlorohydroxy-ana-anthraquinone-dienophiles, which are subjected to Diels-Alder- Addition with 1,3-Dienes. The adducts formed are dehydrogenated to known and new Hydroxynaphthacenequinones.
