Beitrag zur Charakterisierung der Chlorophyllase

The chlorophyllase discovered first by Willstätter and Stoll hydrolyses the phytylesterbond in chlorophylls. The enzyme was solubilized by homogenisation of Chlorella pyrenoidosa following the experimental procedure described by Böger. It was then purified by ammoniumsulphate precipitation and gelfiltration over Sephadex G-200. Some properties of the purified product were investigated. Also the products of the enzymic reaction were analized.
