Abstract

Starting from [2.2.2.2.2.2] metacyclophane the synthesis of [2.2.2.2.2.2] metacyclophane-hexaene in two steps is described. The structure of the new ring systems was confirmed by UV-, NMR- and mass spectra analyses.
