Umlagerungsreaktionen an Indol-Derivaten

Abstract

A review is given of numerous rearrangements (with migration of substituents from position 2 ⇌ 3) which have been observed on indoxyl-, oxindole-, indoline, indole- and indolenine-derivatives. The mechanisms of all these rearrangements can be reduced formally to the mechanism of the pinacole-, pinacolone- or retropinacolone-rearrangement, with the exception of the Plancher-rearrangement.
