Some new informations on the process leading to the formation of macroscopic and microscopic morphology in proliferous polymerization systems have been obtained by using quick-motion picture technique. The chemical base of popcorn polymer chemistry is extended in several respects, i.e. to liquid non-gel systems, to non-crosslinking polymerization, and to proliferation of glass-like systems. Results obtained by application of dynamic differential calorimetry (DDC) techniques to popcorn polymers support the entanglement concept of popcorn polymer crosslinking.
