Azpentalene und deren Reaktionen

Abstract

By dehydrogenation of indols benz- and dibenz-azpentalenes are produced, either free or as adducts of strong acids, which are different from the salts of azulenes and benzazaazulene. The azpentalenes are, like many azulenes, accessible to electrophilic substitutions and en-reactions. A dibenz-diazpentalene was synthesized on two manners.
