Abstract

The bridgehead substituted 2,3-diaza-bicyclo[3.2.0]heptene-derivatives 7 and 21 are synthesized. The photolysis to the bicyclo[2.1.0]pentane 6a and the acid catalyzed isomerization to the dihydrodiazepines 12a and 22 are described. The activation energy for the transformation 6a9a has been determined to be roughly 29 kcal/mole.
