Some principles of the silver-dye bleach process are treated, followed by a review of the azo-dyestuffs used in this process and by a discussion of the most important problems in connection with purity, diffusion, association, light-fastness, spectral absorption, scission of the azo-group and synthesis. Some specific properties of mono-, dis- and trisazo-dyes are also discussed.
