Abstract

β-D-Galactosyl-8'-apo-β-carotene-8'-oate, crocetin-di-(β-D-galactosyl)-ester and β-D-maltosyl-8'-apo-β-carotene-8'-oate were regio- and stereoselectively synthesised in high yields from the corresponding imidazolides or triazolides and unprotected carbohydrate according to the method described earlier.
