The vapor pressures of mixtures of tetrahydrofuran (THF) in ethylbenzene (AB), 1,3-diphenylbutane (DB) and 1,3,5-tri- phenylhexane (TH) as oligomers of styrene were measured in the region of Henry's law at 25 °C. The activity coefficients of THF at infinite dilution are 0.89 in AB, 0.77 in DB and 0.63 in TH. The expression dpTHF/d(nTHF/nM) (pTHF : partial pressure of THF, nTHF: moles of THF, nM moles of the monomer -CHC6H5CH2-) gives 136 in AB, 234 in DB and 297 in TH. This expression seems to reach a limiting value at still higher chain lengths of the hydrocarbons.
