Abstract

A low level counting installation for the measurement of very weak β activities is described. Eight GM thin window counters are surrounded by a single anticoincidence ring, and then by steel, borated paraffine and lead shielding. The eight counters can work at the same time without any interaction. Each of them has an overall efficiency of 0,36 and a background of 0,28 c. p. m.
