Betrachtungen zur Emulsionspolymerisation

Taking the recent literature into account some physicochemical aspects of emulsion polymerization are discussed. Micelle formation and hydratation depend very specifically on the chemical constitution of the emulsifying molecule. This is shown by some examples.
Together with manufacturing considerations there is evidence of a strong correlation between the constitution of the emulsifying agent and the technological properties of the polymer.
