Glycoside aus Penta- und Octaacetylglycosen

Abstract

Various aglycons (azulenes, phenols, thiols, alkohols, ferrocen) are condensed with acetylated carbohydrates to glycosidacetates by Friedel-Crafts catalysators. The same catalysators are also able to promote the condensation of azulenes with orthoesters leading to the formation of aldehydes and ketones.
