Abstract

3-Cyanopyridine is hydrogenated in the presence of a Pd/Pt/Carbon-catalyst in acetic acid anhydride as solvent at normal pressure and temperature. N,N'-Diacetyl-3-aminomethyl-piperidine and Bis-(1,1'-diacetyl-pipecolyl-3-)amine were found as main reaction products.
