Abstract

A new phenacyl-type handle, [4-(2-bromopropionyl)phenoxy]acetic acid (PPOA, 4) is introduced for polymer supported peptide synthesis. The new anchoring system is easily accessible for synthesis, and PPOA-anchored peptides are readily split off by nucleophiles and photolytic reaction.
