Vol. 79 No. 10 (2025): AI and Other Advances in Chemical Education
This issue follows on from a symposium organised by the Division of Chemical Education of the Swiss Chemical Society entitled 'AI in Teaching Chemistry'. We discuss and focus on AI and other approaches towards both learning and teaching and how this can help in the development of new methods and processes. One of the strong messages from the symposium relates to the danger of losing our personal identity if we resort to presenting AI formulated phrases as our own thoughts. Especially, in relation to (chemistry) education, it is a crucial role of the teachers, lecturers, and educators to emphasize the risks related to delegating the tasks to AI.
